FREWSBURG — A 40-year-old Frewsburg man died in an all-terrain vehicle accident early Monday.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies, along with members of the Frewsburg Fire Department and Chautauqua County EMS, responded at about 1:35 a.m. to Woodchuck Hill Road in the town of Carroll for a reported ATV crash.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived, EMS personnel were already on scene performing CPR.

Jeremiah J. Birt was later pronounced dead at the scene.
