Donation Made To UCAN After Outdoor Workout

More than 300 people took part in an outdoor workout Saturday, ending with a donation of $20,000 to UCAN City Mission in Jamestown. The event was hosted by E2M Fitness, a virtual-based fitness program, and took place at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House. “Having a community of people around you to help you stay focused on your health makes a huge difference, the same way having a community that cares about those in need makes a huge difference,” said Jeffrey Witherspoon, creator of E2M. “We were able to see the best of both situations.” Added Jeff Rotunda, UCAN executive director, “We are so grateful. Thinking about community, thinking about connection, thinking about hope — our mission is, ‘Seeing life transformation in men, women and children who find themselves hopeless, lost, and left behind.’ Because of this connection, you are also not only bringing hope for others around you right now but hope and help for those we support and meeting that physical need of providing shelter, food, and also that hope for their new journeys and life transformations.” Submitted photos
