CASSADAGA — The village will host their Halloween hours from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. The selected hours represent the normal hours that the board puts in place for Halloween, though there will be one major difference between this Halloween and a normal Halloween.

Because of the high cases of COVID-19 within the school, the Cassadaga Fire Department is not hosting their Halloween Party for the kids. The Fire Department made the decision to cancel their normally annual event early last week. Despite not having the party, the hours for the Village of Cassadaga remain the same.

In other news, Trustee Cindy Flaherty said that she is already working on the village’s concert series for next summer. This past summer, the village’s concert series was considered a huge success, featuring artists like country singer Ruthie Collins and the Ozone Rangers. Flaherty said that there is a long list of bands in consideration for next year.

“I have 20 bands to choose from,” Flaherty said. “If the Village has a request, they should do it now because I have to submit grants by November 18. There are a lot of new bands out there too.”
