CHERRY CREEK — The 2021 Cherry Creek Gazebo Concert Series concludes tonight with the sounds of Chautauqua Big Band.

The concert will be held in the pavilion of the ballpark on Main Street in the hamlet, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

Supper-type refreshments will be available in the park during the concert, and those planning to attend are encouraged to bring comfortable lawn chairs.

Performing music reminiscent of the 1940s Big Band Era, Chautauqua Big Band is a favorite of regular concert attendees. Composed of very talented instrumentalists from the area, many of whom being music educators, the group tackles the tricky syncopated rhythms of the ’40s Dance Band Era with ease and expertise.

The project is sponsored by the Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. and made possible in part with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the governor’s office and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Tri County Arts Council.
