SUNY Fredonia Science Students Enroll At Health Professions, Graduate Schools

FREDONIA — Health profession schools, doctoral programs and research are among the varied destinations of 19 students who are graduating or have recently graduated with science degrees offered at the State University at Fredonia.

Optometry, physical therapy and Ph.D. programs are common choices among the students, whose majors include Exercise Science, Biology, Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry. Students have also been hired to work in health-related fields.

Students in the Department of Biology, with academic areas of study, hometown and educational or professional plans, include:

¯ Zachary Bogosian, Biology, of Silver Creek, The Ohio State University College of Optometry; O.D.

¯ Hailey Gould, Molecular Genetics, of Jamestown, hired as a lab tech, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

¯ Olivia Manzella, Exercise Science, of Dunkirk, D’Youville College, D.C.

¯ Bradley Rybak, Exercise Science, of Silver Creek, University at Buffalo, D.P.T.

Four students in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry accepted into medical school or graduate programs include:

¯ Bradley Brown, Biochemistry, of Jamestown, SUNY Upstate Medical University
