A “thorough” search of the Allegheny River on Friday and Saturday in connection with two missing person cases did not yield any results.
John Christopher Nelson was last seen on Feb. 5 and Nicole Lee Font was last seen on March 14.
According to city police, the search is focused on the Allegheny River in the area between Point Park and Mead Island.
City of Warren Police Chief Joe Sproveri said that nothing was found and that any rumors to the contrary are “false.”
“Our information on Mr. Nelson, all avenues pointed to him being in the river,” he said. “We were able to rule out many possibilities for Ms. Font.”

Saturday’s activity is a continuation of Friday’s search efforts..
City police are working with the Warren Fire Department, Glade VFD, Rosie Marketing LLC’s drone service, the Chautauqua County Dive Team, the Jamestown Police Drone team and the NY State Police K9 Unit.
On Friday, Rosie Marketing LLC’s drone worked with city police and fire.
The New York State resources assisted on Saturday — including the dive team’s sonar capabilities as well as cadaver dogs with the NY State Police. The Glade VFD boat also followed the Jamestown PD drone.
“The incidents are unrelated and there is no suspected foul play,” Sproveri said, noting that the search will continue next week.
