Safety Village To Host Easter Carnival Drive-Through
ASHVILLE — The Chautauqua Safety Village will host a Easter Carnival drive-through from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at the Safety Village next to BOCES, 2695 Route 394, Ashville.
The Carnival will be different this year to comply with COVID-19 regulations and to ensure the safety of all visitors and volunteers. Attendees will remain in their (decorated, if desired) vehicles, and will be ushered through the village streets. The village will be decorated, the Easter Bunny will be hopping around, and candy will be distributed through vehicle windows to the children by masked, gloved volunteers.
There will be refreshments, kettle corn and other food available for purchase, as well as a radio broadcast for the vehicles’ speakers to inform visitors of all the features.
Due to the volume of traffic experienced at the Village’s Halloween event in November, improvements have been made to the entrance and exit, which will benefit the flow of the vehicles driving through. There will also be activities to entertain those waiting in line.
Each vehicle with three or less passengers will cost $5, and vehicles with 4 or more people will cost $10.
For more information, and for those looking to volunteer, visit the Chautauqua Safety Village website or call 338-0170.
