Search Of City Home Nets Cash, Narcotics, Stolen Weapon From Warren County Business

Pictured are the items recovered from a Hammond Street residence in Jamestown on Sunday. Charges are pending in the investigation, Jamestown police said in a news release.

A search at a Jamestown residence Sunday netted investigators cash, narcotics and a gun reported stolen from a Warren County business.

A warrant was executed around 4:45 p.m. at 5 Hammond St. that included members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, Jamestown Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team.

Several individuals were detained inside the residence, JPD said in a news release Monday.

“Investigators then searched the home and found $2,279.00 in cash, 31.84 ounces of cocaine and 183 bags of fentanyl, all packaged in individual packages ready for sales,” the department said. “There was also a separate bag of 5.5 grams of fentanyl that had not been separated yet.

“Along with the illicit drugs, investigators found a 9mm Sig Sauer pistol that was previously stolen during a burglary of a gun shop in Pennsylvania.”

No charges have yet been filed; the investigation remains ongoing, Jamestown police said.

“Charges are expected to be placed against all of the individuals who are involved in the trafficking of illegal drugs in the Jamestown and surrounding areas,” the department said.
