Three local art galleries have joined together for the first time to create a virtual fall foliage art show, opening Oct. 14 and running through Oct. 22.

The Chautauqua Art Gallery in Lakewood, the Portage Hill Art Gallery on Route 394 between Mayville and Westfield, and the Living Glass Gallery in Westfield are shining a light on area artists who are influenced by the beauty of the fall landscape during a virtual event.

Artwork in the show will be exhibited on the Facebook Event Page “Chautauqua Fall Foliage Art Show.” Each gallery will contribute fall themed artwork by regional artists they represent in their respective physical spaces. All artwork will be displayed on the Facebook event page along with links to purchase from the contributing gallery. The show includes 17 regional artists exhibiting more than 65 pieces ranging from paintings and photography to stained glass and block prints and many other mediums.

“In a time where people are traveling and heading to art galleries less, I am thrilled to come together with my fellow artists and gallery owners to create a space for exhibiting the amazing artwork our region has to offer. We live in an incredibly beautiful area which influences and inspires the work of many area artists. The fall landscape is especially inspirational and I look forward to exhibiting artwork with a fall focus.” said Leslie Calimeri, Chautauqua Art Gallery owner.

“The fall is a visually rich season, filled with colors, textures and great memories of deep love for our world. Artists are very influenced by the beauty around them and western New York is brimming with it this season!” said Audrey Kay Dowling, Portage Hill Art Gallery owner.

“This is such an exciting opportunity! At Living Glass Gallery, I am dedicated to representing artists at all stages of their career. I am continuously amazed by the work of our local artists in expressing their creative, innovative and imaginative depiction of our human emotions and interactions in our world. I invite all to enjoy their discoveries as you explore this truly unique art show.” said Denise Williams, Living Glass Gallery owner.
