Van Strikes Tree In City

The driver of a van that struck a tree was checked by EMS personnel Wednesday.

First responders were called to Pardee Avenue, between Willard Street and Crestline Drive, around 11:10 a.m. for a report of a crash. A van, which officials say may have had mechanical issues, struck a tree causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

The driver was checked by Alstar EMS; injuries did not appear to be serious.

Members of the Jamestown Fire Department and Jamestown Police Department also responded to Pardee. The road was partially blocked as a result of the crash.
