No injuries were reported after fire broke out Tuesday morning inside a Jamestown home.

Members of the Jamestown Fire Department were called at about 8:45 a.m. to 254 Prospect St. for a report of a structure fire. According to Deputy Fire Chief Matthew Coon, crews with the first platoon arrived to find fire in the living room on the first floor.

The fire, the bulk of which was knocked down in about five minutes, was largely contained to the living room area, Coon told The Post-Journal at the scene.

Initial reports indicated that someone may have been trapped inside the residence; however, Coon said everyone was able to make it out safely.

City fire investigators were summoned to the Prospect Street residence to look into the cause. Off-shift firefighters were also called to assist at the scene.
