Boutwell Hill Ski Club To Host Fundraiser Saturday At Big Inlet Brewing
MAYVILLE — The Boutwell Hill Ski Club will hold an outdoor informational and fundraising event at the Big Inlet Brewing from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 3.
The brewery has been recognized by the County Legislature for the distancing and safety protocols it has put in place to assure public safety.
Skiers of all sizes, shapes and skills with masks are invited to attend. Trail information, craft beer, food and live music will be in good supply. The group will be accepting donations toward a new tracked ATV.
Now in its sixth year, the Boutwell Hill Ski Club is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization that maintains and grooms winter trails in the Boutwell Hill State Forest under a volunteer stewardship agreement with the state DEC. The five-mile trail system for skiers, snow shoers and fat bikers is free and open to the public. There are also back-country trails and multi-use forest roads in the state forest. Considerable lake-effect snow blankets the area each winter.
