Demolition began Thursday of the former Jamestown Moose Club and Galloway mansion located at 405 E. Fifth St. Formerly the site of Moose Lodge No. 1681, the property was obtained by the Chautauqua County Land Bank and then sold. Prior to demolition, the DIY Network show “Salvage Dawgs” filmed at the property. Prior to being the home of the Moose Lodge, the mansion was owned by the family of John Galloway, who made his fortune in the Pennsylvania oil business.
