Persell Middle School Names Students Of The Year

Persell Middle School officials recently released the school’s Students of the Year.

Britta Putney is the fifth grade Student of the Year at Persell. She is the daughter of Taylor and Annika Putney. Britta’s hobbies include dancing, sewing, playing the piano and french horn. Her favorite memory from fifth grade was her first band concert. Britta’s favorite class is math and she plans to go to college to become a teacher when she grows up.

Bryce Stone is the sixth grade Student of the Year at Persell. He is the son of Dan and Sue Stone. Bryce likes to collect NASCAR diecast cars. His favorite memory from sixth grade is being in his classroom with all of his friends. Bryce’s favorite classes are science and ELA. He hopes to have a career in the vision field, become a teacher, or be a teacher for the visually impaired.

Leonardo Tehan is the seventh grade Student of the Year at Persell. He is the son of Christopher and Michela Tehan. Leo enjoys playing football, wrestling, skiing, and playing instruments in his spare time. His favorite memory from seventh grade was winning Student of the Year. Leo’s favorite classes are math and science and his goal in life is to become a doctor and move to a big city.

Sydney Maggio is the eighth grade Female Student of the Year at Persell. She is the daughter of Chris and Mary Maggio. Sydney’s hobbies include reading, dancing and going on walks. Her favorite memory from eighth grade was spending time with her friends. Sydney’s favorite class is science and her goal in life is to be a kind, successful person.

Stefano Isabella is the eighth grade Male Student of the Year at Persell. He is the son of Luigi and Teresina Isabella. Stefano plays hockey for Jamestown Lakers, he is on the JHS Varsity Tennis Team, and he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His favorite memory from eighth grade was making it to the hockey finals and celebrating with his teammates. Stefano’s favorite classes are history and science and he hopes to become a dentist when he is older.
