Sherman Man Charged In Sex Abuse Investigation
A Sherman man is facing sex abuse charges following an investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Trever J. Kneer, 20, was taken into custody Wednesday morning after members of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division were made aware of a “suspicious situation” that reportedly took place May 5.
An investigation found that Kneer allegedly engaged in an “inappropriate actions with two juvenile victims in the town of Sherman over the past two months,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. No further information was released.
The Sherman man was arraigned on charges of second-degree sexual abuse and three counts of forcible touching. He is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court later.
