Firefighters and other first responders wished area resident Frank Stefanelli a happy 93rd birthday Wednesday. Stefanelli is a former chief of the Jamestown Fire Department, past president of the New York State Fire Chiefs Association and longtime educator in the fire service. Departments that took part in recognizing Stefanelli include Jamestown, Lakewood, Falconer, Busti and Ellington, in addition to Julius Leone, former county director of Emergency Services. Stefanelli’s daughter, Teresa, was also present Wednesday. Fire engines drove past Stefanelli before members got out and stood from afar to sing “Happy Birthday.”
