Chautauqua Striders recently hosted its mentor recognition dinner at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church as a way to thank the program’s volunteers. “Every January is National Mentoring Month,” said Erika Swanson Muecke, Striders director of mentoring. “The dinner is a way for us to publicly thank our mentors and give them the recognition that they deserve.” Striders currently supports approximately 80 mentor-mentee matches, most of whom are in the Jamestown Public Schools.
