Bush Elementary Students Collect For Kallie’s Krusade

Fourth graders at Bush Elementary School collected donations for Kallie’s Krusade to help kids with cancer.

Bush Elementary School fourth graders in Tiffany MacCallum’s class collected donations for Kallie’s Krusade to help kids with cancer. The students watched The Kid President’s “How to Change the World” and decided to take their New Year’s Resolutions and put them to good use.

“There are kids in the hospital who have cancer that really need things,” said Bush Elementary School fourth grader Hunter Muoio. “Sometimes their families can’t buy what they need and we wanted to help them and give them the joy and confidence to fight cancer.”

Students placed boxes throughout the school so that students and staff could fill them with Kleenex, heating rice bags, water bottles, baby wipes, toys, chocolate and many other necessary supplies for the kids who are fighting cancer.

“We wanted to do something to help kids after seeing The Kid’s President. We chose Kallie’s Krusade because kids who have cancer may really need our help,” said Bush Elementary School fourth grader Kater Hockenberry.
