SINCLAIRVILLE — The village of Sinclairville will officially not be dissolving.

With a larger than expected turnout of 222 voters in the village, the final tally came out at 94 “Yes” votes and 128 “No” votes at the close of polling at 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

The votes were counted, re-counted and triple-counted at the Sinclairville Village Hall before the information was released, including a grand total of five absentee ballots.

With the dissolution vote defeated, a four-year moratorium will be put in place preventing another petition and another vote for dissolution.
