A Jamestown man faces 19 separate vehicle and traffic charges and other charges after a vehicle pursuit early Thursday morning.

At 2:26 a.m. Thursday, Jamestown police officers reported seeing a white Chrysler sedan speeding on West 10th Street toward North Main Street. Officers then reportedly saw the vehicle fail to stop at the intersection of West 10th Street and North Main Street as it continued onto North Main Street. When officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped away and led officers on a vehicle pursuit out of the city, onto Interstate 86 to the Falconer exit and eventually back into Jamestown before traveling west on Interstate 86 in the eastbound lane driving in the wrong direction. The pursuit eventually ended on Interstate 86 near the Sherman exit with help from the Ellicott Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Dept., which deployed spike strips.

Police report Tyler N. Tedesco, 23, was driving the vehicle while allegedly under the influence of drugs. Also in the vehicle were Corina J. Baker, 23, and Corey L. Jackson Jr., 22. Tedesco faces 19 vehicle and traffic charges as well as charges of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while ability impaired by drugs, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing police in a motor vehicle, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Both Baker and Jackson were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. Tedesco, Baker and Jackson were taken to the Jamestown City Jail until they could be arraigned.
