Summer Concert Series Kicks Off Today

CHERRY CREEK — The Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. has announced the first concert in the 2019 Cherry Creek Summer Gazebo Concert Series to be held Thursdays beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The featured entertainment for the evening will be Paul Zittel and Pure Country.

The first concert of the season also features a new location. Billed as a “barnless barn dance,” the event will take place in the Cherry Glen Pavilion, 7175 North Road, Cherry Creek.

Horse and wagon rides will be provided Hickory Flats Farm.

Supper-type refreshments will be available, and those planning to attend are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs for seating.

“Paul Zittel and Pure Country are well known favorites of our audiences,” said Brenda Hendricks, Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. chairperson. “They always pull in a good crowd and it’s always a fun time when they are with us. If you haven’t heard them before, come and join us for a truly enjoyable evening. If you are a regular of our concerts, please plan to come and bring some friends.”

This project is sponsored by the Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. and made possible in part with money from the Decentralization Program, a program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and the state Legislature. It is also administered by the Tri- County Arts Council and is supported by area businesses, the town of Cherry Creek and community members.
