Friday afternoon "Laurel-thon" runners were welcomed in Washington Park as they carried the Laurel Run flags. The relay started in Jamestown around 6 a.m. and the last leg of the relay arrived in Dunkirk around 1 p.m. Today, Laurel Run celebrations continue in Silver Creek with opening ceremonies at 8:15 a.m., a 1k and 5k walk, an 8k run, children's Fun Runs, and also the Laurel Legacy Lap, which is for anyone with a disability.
