Three greater Jamestown area restaurants will be closing its doors soon.

On Friday, Alfies Restaurant, located at 986 Fairmount Ave., officials announced via a sign in the door that the longtime business will be closing Saturday, July 26. The restaurant during the next two weeks will only be open 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The restaurant was also closed Friday evening.

“Thank you for all your support through the years,” the sign stated.

Also announced earlier this week on a Facebook post July 9, Fresco Pizza and Wings, located at 2-6 E. Second St., Jamestown, will be closing Saturday.

“We are sorry to inform you that as of 10 p.m. Saturday night we will be closed for good. Thank you to all of our amazing customers over the years we will miss you. Please stop in and see us for one last meal and drink,” the post stated.

Fresco Pizza & Wings opened Jan. 1, 2015, in the Fenton Building in downtown Jamestown. The restaurant owner is Sergey Khodzhayan. Khodzhayan also owns restaurants located in Erie, Pa.

The restaurant received grant money from the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation and assistance from city officials with acquiring a liquor license in order for the business to open.

The other restaurant that will be closing is Craft Burgers and Brews, located at 60 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood.

“To all of our loyal customers: It is with sad news to report that we will be closing the restaurant. (Saturday) will be our last day/night open. It has been a tremendous pleasure to serve you all over the past 12 years both as Scallion Bistro and Craft Burgers & Brews.

Please stop in frequently until closing to say hi/bye to any servers or kitchen staff as we work hard on our last two weeks. We appreciate you all and hope to see any smiling faces come through our door in the coming days,” restaurant officials posted July 2.

Craft opened Nov. 3, 2016, at the former Scallion Bistro. At the time, Ryan Thayer, Craft Burgers & Brews owner and chef, said the decision to start over and rebrand was not only imperative, but appeared as a business masterstroke.
