Police Seek Driver Involved In Hit-And-Run

FREWSBURG — Police are looking for the driver of an SUV that reportedly struck a motorcyclist and drove off Tuesday.

The incident, according to the Carroll Police Department, occurred around noon when a black-colored GMC turned into the path of the motorcyclist, identified as Paul M. Fardink, at the intersection of Route 62 and Ivory Road near Frewsburg.

Fardink was knocked of his motorcycle; he suffered minor abrasions and an ankle injury but did not require medical attention at the scene.

“The black GMC suburban slowed but subsequently left the scene of the accident,” Carroll police said in a press release.

Police believe the SUV was being driven by a white female. The truck had gold New York state plates and black rims.

Anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run is asked to call Carroll police at 490-8419.

Police were assisted Tuesday by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police.
