Missing Warren County Man Found Safe
WARREN, Pa. — A Warren County man who went missing late Sunday has been found safe, the Pennsylvania State Police said.
The man, 80-year-old Richard W. Smith, was located Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. about a half-mile from his Mead Township, Pa., home in a heavily wooded area near Route 160. Smith reportedly left his home some time Sunday night.
He was taken to Warren General Hospital for an evaluation.
In a statement, the Pennsylvania State Police said: “A big thanks to all the volunteers who put their time in through the night to continue the search for Smith. They include: Clarendon VFD, Pleasant Twp. VFD, Glade VFD Search and Rescue, Northwest PA K-9 Search and Rescue, Ekland Search and Rescue, the Warren Alliance Church, the Salvation Army, Trooper 6-PSP and state police members.”
