The Kiantone Independent Fire Department recently honored a departed life member. Edwin B. Sandberg passed away May 31. He was a 62-year member of the department. In the tradition of the fire service, the Falconer Fire Department raised the American flag over Route 60 for Sandberg’s final ride to his resting place at the Fentonville cemetery. Kiantone Independent Fire Department thanked all of the departments who attended the funeral and celebrated Sandberg’s life, particularly the Frewsburg and Falconer departments for their services.
