The Southern Tier Classic Chevy car club will hold its second-annual show and cruise-in to benefit the Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 of the American Legion on July 6. Proceeds from the event will benefit the maintenance and upkeep of the American Legion. While the car cruise-in and show have been taking place since the Southern Tier Classic’s founding in 1991, this is the second year the club has collaborated with the Post to benefit the organization and their cause to support military veterans and their families. Set up for the show will begin at 1 p.m. with the show taking place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cruise-in then begin at 6 p.m. and take place around Chautauqua Lake with local fire and police agencies directing traffic along the route. Vehicles don’t need to be Chevrolet cars to participate. In addition a basket raffle will take place to benefit the Post as well as a prize drawing for two diecast cars from Matco Tools in Lakewood. Southern Tier Chevy Classic will also host a benefit 50/50 raffle to benefit the Shriner Children’s Hospital of Erie, Pa.

In addition, the event will include music and food with the Post Kitchen open until 7 p.m.
