Two people were assisted after the boat they were in capsized Sunday afternoon on Chautauqua Lake. Celoron volunteer firefighters were summoned shortly after 3 p.m. to the area behind the Harbor Hotel for a report of two people in the water. Celoron’s watercraft was put into the lake; the two people were reported safe and without injury around 3:20 p.m. Busti and Lakewood firefighters also responded, as did Chautauqua County EMS and Ellicott and Lakewood-Busti police. No further information was available by press time Sunday.
