Westfield Man Jailed After Robbery

RIPLEY — A Westfield man was jailed following a robbery Monday in Ripley.

Charged was 27-year-old Tyler Bowen with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies were called around 6 p.m. to 10 W. Main St. for a robbery that had just occurred. Various items were reportedly taken in the robbery, Chautauqua County Sheriff Jim Quattrone said.

Criminal investigators were called to assist deputies at the scene.

“After a brief investigation it was learned that Tyler Bowen was allegedly involved, and after a search of the area he was not located,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Bowen was located Tuesday by the Sheriff’s Office and taken into custody. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and arraigned through centralized booking.

The investigation remains ongoing. No further information was available.
