Man Declared Dead After Rollover In Warren County

WARREN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania man was pronounced dead after a rollover crash Wednesday.

Pennsylvania State Police based in Warren, Pa., said the man, 34-year-old Steven K. Walters, of Endeavor, Pa., was killed after his 2001 Dodge Caravan crashed on Route 62, about 4 miles south of Grunderville Road in Warren County.

State police said Walters was southbound on Route 62 when his van, for an unknown reason, crossed into the northbound lane, left the east edge of the road and struck a rock embankment. The impact caused the van to go airborne before landing on its roof and traveling about 145 feet.

Walters, who police said was wearing his seat belt, was pulled from the van by a volunteer firefighter and transported to Warren General Hospital where he pronounced dead.

Troopers were assisted by EmergyCare ambulance and volunteer firefighters from Pleasant, Tidioute and Youngsville in Pennsylvania.
