Man Jailed After City Stabbing Incident
A Jamestown man was charged with assault after a stabbing a woman Monday.
Charged was 65-year-old Lonnie L. Fields after Jamestown police were summoned to UPMC Chautauqua hospital for a report of a stabbing victim that had been brought to the emergency room. Officers were told that a woman was stabbed with a kitchen knife during a domestic incident at a home on West 12th Street around 9:30 a.m.
Police located Fields, who was transported to Jamestown City Jail and charged with second-degree assault. He was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
The area around the incident was cordoned to the public. No further information was made available.
