A child was airlifted to a nearby hospital after reportedly falling off a bicycle Sunday afternoon in Jamestown. The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. at the intersection of Baker Street and Hazeltine Avenue in Jamestown. The child, whose name and age wasn’t immediately known, was taken from the scene to UPMC Chautauqua where they were then airlifted to another hospital. EMS, fire officials and police were first notified that the child had been struck by a vehicle. However, crews were later told the child suffered injuries after falling off the bike at the intersection. No further information was available by press time Sunday.
