The name of the man shot Tuesday morning and who later died was released by the Jamestown Police Department.

Police said 30-year-old William J. Michishima was taken off life support around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., and died shortly thereafter. His death was the result of a single gunshot wound to the head in a shooting that took place around 9 a.m. at 114 Livingston Ave. in Jamestown.

Police delayed releasing Michishima’s name until his family could be notified.

David F. Waggoner, 54, was arraigned Thursday on a charge of second-degree murder and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. Waggoner is being represented by the Chautauqua County Public Defender’s Office.
