EBC To Make Library Donation Via Grand Reopening
BEMUS POINT — When Ellicottville Brewing on Chautauqua reopens next month, it will do so with local literacy in mind.
EBC’s Bemus Point location will launch into another season with its grand reopening celebration Saturday, May 4, during which a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Bemus Point Public Library.
“We’re going to donate $1 from every beer we sell and all of our tip money from that day to the library,” said Kirstie Hanson, assistant manager. “We’re approached by people all the time about fundraising opportunities, and we thought this would be a great time to be able to give back to our local library. Obviously libraries are struggling financially all over, so we wanted to make sure we’re giving back to this resource in our community. That’s who we are and what we want to support.”
The festivities will kick off at 3 p.m. and run through the rest of the evening. Featured items include 14 brews tapped and ready to pour, along with EBC’s wine list, cocktail menu and full bar. Also highlighting the day will be a basket auction, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle simulator and appearances by guest bartenders from the community including: Lonny Clark, Peter Kreinheder, Jen Jaeger, Randy “Hummer” Kane, Jeannine Zimmer, Tom Turner and Jamie Trusler.
Live music will also be performed due to a collaboration between EBC and the library, who picked the musicians to appear. Dan Vogan will perform from 7-8 p.m. and Lakeside Stroll will perform from 8:30-9:30 p.m.
