Jamestown Pair Wanted On Warrants Taken Into Custody

Two Jamestown residents wanted on multiple warrants were found early Thursday, the Jamestown Police Department said.

Around 1:30 a.m., officers spotted 28-year-old Heather Brown and 39-year-old Bradley Knapp in the area of King and Water streets whom they said were acting suspicious. As police exited their car, Knapp reportedly fled the area behind a row of houses.

Brown, who was detained at the scene, was found to have active warrants through the police department and was taken into custody.

Knapp was found hiding on a porch nearby and also taken into custody, the Jamestown Police Department said in a press release. He was also found to be wanted on arrest warrants.

A search by the department’s K-9 unit led to the discovery of methamphetamine in a small bag where the pair had been located. The meth allegedly belonged to Brown, police said. She was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both were transported to Jamestown City Jail on the warrants and held for arraignment in court.
