A Jamestown man wanted in Nebraska was taken into custody this week.
City police found 35-year-old Merry B.A. Bills following a traffic stop Thursday around 3:30 a.m. at Park Street and Newland Avenue in the city. Police observed a vehicle, reportedly driven by Bills, fail to signal a turn when they made the traffic stop.
An investigation determined Bills was wanted in Nebraska for allegedly possessing a controlled substance/dangerous drugs. Bills was taken into custody, as was a passenger in the vehicle, 22-year-old Brandon L. Murphy.
Murphy, a Jamestown resident, was found to be in possession of throwing stars, which are illegal to possess in the state.
