City Residents Charged In Drug Raids

Two city residents were charged Friday after police raided apartments on Hazzard and Colfax streets and seized a mass of narcotics.

At 9:08 p.m., members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, the Jamestown police SWAT team and the New York State Police CNET executed search warrants at a basement apartment of 21 Hazzard St., as well as an upper apartment at 57 Colfax St.

Both addresses were identified as a nuisance in the neighborhood through citizen complaints, Jamestown police patrols and the drug task force.

Inside both apartments, police seized about 10 grams of methamphetamine, doses of LSD, several items of drug paraphernalia, a quantity of cash and an illegal stun gun.

Police apprehended Jeremy S. Gross, 35, and 34-year-old Kimberly M. Fred inside the Hazzard Street residence.

Gross was reportedly the renter and in charge of activities in both apartments, police said.

Gross was charged with third- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Fred was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
