Annual Rotary Club Charity Golf Classic Scheduled
The Rotary Club of Jamestown’s annual Rotary Charity Golf Classic is set for an 11 a.m. shotgun start on Monday, July 10, at Moon Brook Country Club.
The entry fee of $135 per player includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch on the course, hors d’oeuvres and dinner immediately following play and prizes.
The Rotary Charity Golf Classic benefits the local community as well as international Rotary projects involving youth and the health and welfare of people of all nations.
Local beneficiaries include the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club, Jamestown Babe Ruth Baseball, Hands-on Jamestown, National Comedy Center, Veteran’s Memorial Park, local Literacy programs, Chautauqua Institution Music Scholarships and YMCA Camp Onyahsa camperships for those with disabilities.
International beneficiaries include Rotary Polio Eradication campaign, International Youth Exchange, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Student Leadership Award Program and the Micro Finance Weaving Cooperative in Nepal.
Foursomes will compete for prizes in the format of their choice either a scramble or best ball. Hole-in-one prizes can be won as well as cash awards for the tournament winners.
