Village Dance Studio Ready For ‘Dash Of Color 5K Fun Run’
The Village Dance Studio is planning its “Dash of Color 5K Fun Run” and chicken barbecue to benefit the studio’s Disney Dancers.
RANDOLPH — In support of its Disney Dancers, the Village Dance Studio of Randolph is planning its second annual “Dash of Color 5K Fun Run” that will take place Saturday with registration starting at 8:30 a.m.
Participants may register anytime up to the day of the race, as well as at the race. This amount is $25 for each runner or $75 per family (parents with children age 17 and younger). A limited number of race T-shirts will be available for purchase prior to the race, starting the day of the race.
The race will begin at 10 a.m. at Weeden Park, in Randolph, and the course will loop around Spring Street and Main Street to finish back at Weeden Park. Runners will pass through three or four color stations to get colorful.
After the race, starting at noon, there will also be a chicken BBQ which will be available until 3 p.m., or sold out. Dinners will be $10 each and include a half chicken, roll, a choice of two sides and dessert. Dinner pick-up will be at Weeden Park. Pre-sale tickets are available from any Disney Dancer from the Village Dance Studio.
Last year, there were over 100 runners; the dance students hope to increase that amount this year. Both the “Dash of Color 5K Fun Run” and the chicken barbecue support the Village Dance Studio’s Disney Dancers who will be traveling to Disney this June. While there, they will be performing a stage show at Epcot and Disney Springs, dancing in a parade at Magic Kingdom, and taking a dance workshop with Sharna Burgess from Dancing with the Stars. All dancers thank everyone for their support.
Anyone with questions or who wishes to register should contact race coordinator Nicole Smallback at nsmallback@pval.org.
