Fredonia Man Charged In Gun Incident

DUNKIRK — A Fredonia man was taken into custody after allegedly threatening people with a gun.

Officers were called to 379 W. Main St. around noon Tuesday for a report of a man threatening residents at the housing complex with a firearm. After arrival, police secured the complex and located two victims of the reported incident.

After an investigation, Christopher Miller, 19, of the same address was taken into custody. A search warrant was obtained from village court and executed at the residence. Officers allegedly discovered a loaded handgun, two shot guns, a large quantity of powder cocaine, marijuana and a large quantity of money.

Miller was charged with second-degree menacing, criminal possession of a firearm, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. He was arraigned in Village Court and sent to the County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash/$40,000 bond bail.

An officer of the Fredonia Police Department was treated for injuries at Brooks Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the apprehension of Miller. Further charges are pending and the investigation is continuing.
