Garage Destroyed In Panama Fire

PANAMA -- Before midnight Friday, the Panama Fire Department and several mutual aid departments responded to 6406 Muzzy Hill Road for a reported structure fire. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct an origin and cause fire investigation. An investigation found that the fire started on the first floor of a two-story unoccupied garage. Due to the severity of the damage sustained to the structure from the fire, no cause was able to be determined.

Falconer Woman Pleads Guilty To Sex Trafficking, Drug Charges

A Falconer woman will be headed to prison after admitting to sex trafficking drug addicts, as well as peddling drugs. U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross has announced that 25-year-old Cora Waddington, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 40 grams or more of fentanyl and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and benefiting financially from trafficking in persons.
