A person has been killed after a hit-and-run accident on the state Thruway.
The State Police at Dunkirk report troopers patrolling the Thruway found a disabled vehicle near the road with a person who had been killed at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the town of Sheridan. Troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation have located a suspect vehicle that left the scene.
Delays are expected near mile marker 463 in the westbound lane of the Thruway.
The investigation is continuing, and the State Police said more information will be released as the investigation continues.
