Jamestown man charged after Thursday chase

A Jamestown man faces drug and weapon charges after leading police on a chase through Lakeview Cemetery on Thursday.
Dasai K. Bradberry, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence at 2:03 p.m. Friday.
The incident began when narcotics detectives from the Jamestown Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 63 W. 14th St., Jamestown. Before officers executed the search warrant Bradberry allegedly left the residence in a vehicle. A Jamestown Police Department road patrol pulled the vehicle over on North Main Street near West Oak Hill Road, where Bradberry allegedly ran away, jumped the fence of Lakeview Cemetery and discarded methamphetamine and fentanyl. Bradberry was then caught a short distance away by patrol officers.
Officers reportedly found two 9 mm “ghost guns” inside the West 14th Street home as well as digital scales, packaging materials, cutting agents and U.S. currency while officers also recovered 104.6 grams of methamphetamine and 10.9 grams of fentanyl that Bradberry allegedly tried to destroy in the cemetery.
Bradberry had also been wanted on a federal warrant for weapons and narcotics trafficking, according to a police report. Bradberry was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
In 2019, Bradberry was charged burglary, 32 counts each of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a minor, conspiracy (burglary), conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking) and criminal mischief after allegedly entering a Corry business and stealing 32 handguns. The search for the pistols began after officers responded Sept. 18 to reports of shots being fired inside a Bowen Street home in Jamestown.
