City Man Charged After Destroying Property, Threatening Officer At Wal-Mart

A Jamestown man has been charged after allegedly destroying property and threatening police officers at the Lakewood Wal-Mart on Thursday.

Emmanuel Molina-Nazario, 40, was charged with menacing a peace/police officer, second-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest after Lakewood-Busti police officers responded to the store for a report of a man destroying property. The first officer responding found multiple merchandise items broken and Wal-Mart staff securing the area. The officer were told the man had moved to the back of the store, toward the Electronics Department. Officers eventually found the man near the grocery area of the store.

According to a police report, the officer identified himself and gave Molina-Nazario verbal commands, at which point Molina-Nazario allegedly displayed a knife. The officer then drew his weapon and gave further commands that Molina-Nazario allegedly ignored. Additional officers arrived on the scene and Molina-Nazario was eventually arrested. He was taken to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department for processing and then taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
