Channel 7 is reporting that the truck belonging to a missing Lakewood man has been found in Chautauqua Lake.

The television station reported Sheriff Jim Quattrone said tips from the public narrowed down the search area. Matthew Bentley, Lakewood-Busti police chief, told Channel 7 that the Sheriff’s Office dive team located the vehicle around 9 a.m. Wednesday, but weather made it impossible Tuesday to open the door and inspect the inside of the vehicle.

Over the weekend, Lakewood-Busti police asked residents who have home or business surveillance cameras facing the lake to review footage for Tuesday, March 3, between 12:30 and 6:00 a.m. Investigators are asking the public to look for any video showing a vehicle driving on the ice of Chautauqua Lake during that time period.
