Victims Identified In Fatal Route 60 Accident
A Sinclairville woman died in Sunday’s horrific two-car crash on Route 60 in the town of Gerry, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported late Wednesday.
At approximately 6:18 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and multiple other agencies responded to the accident with serious injuries. Upon arrival and through investigation at the scene, it was determined that a vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lane of Route 60. A second vehicle was traveling south in the southbound lane, and the vehicles struck each other head on. The sole occupant of the northbound vehicle, Christine White, 66, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The two occupants of the southbound vehicle, Karlie R. Hooper, 19, of Oswego, and Alexander Carl, 20, of Gerry were transported to area hospitals for treatment of serious injuries.
