City Man Charged With Strangulation In Domestic Incident
A city man was in jail Sunday morning after a domestic incident on Saturday.
Jason A Swartz, 40, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree strangulation, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child.
At 3:46 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a Southside address on a follow-up from a domestic dispute that took place at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. That evening, a female victim arrived at the department’s reception area with significant bruises around her neck. It was determined that Swartz was involved in a physical domestic with the victim.
The defendant reportedly had held down and choked the victim in front of a 6-year-old juvenile. Swartz was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the city jail. He was being held pending arraignment.
