Georgia Man Charged After Having Weapon
A Georgia man is facing a number of charges after a dispute in the city Friday morning.
Larico R. Jones, 39, was charged with second-degree menacing, endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s were dispatched to a report of two males arguing near the intersection by a north side business. Upon arrival, officers learned that 39-year-old Larico Jones had allegedly threatened another individual at the scene with a firearm. At the time of the incident, the victim was holding a 2-year-old child in his arms.
A search of the area led officers to discover a loaded Kel-Tec .380 caliber pistol concealed underneath Jones’ vehicle at the scene. Jones does not possess a valid pistol permit, was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was being held pending arraignment on charges.
