Eight Charged In City Drug Raids

Eight people face charges after drug raids on East Eighth and Baker streets on Thursday.

On Thursday at 1:36 p.m., simultaneous search warrants were executed at 221 E. 8th St., upper garage apartment and apartment 3, and at 47.5 Baker Street. Entry to all three locations were made by the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department SWAT Team members. Inside 221 E. Eighth St., garage upper apartment, Juliannays N. Fuentes, 21, was located and in apartment 3, Zulery M. Jimenez-Fuentes, 27, Victor M. Melendez, 47, and a 4 year old child were located inside. At 47 1/2 Baker Street, located inside were Angel Alberto Ozuna, 26, Cristian Adalberto DeJesus Polanco, 25, Juana Maria Concer Jesus, 18, Noel Montes Delosanto, 24, and Jamie Bennett, 41. Once the locations were secured by the SWAT teams, detectives from JPD and Investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office searched the locations. All eight were charged with multiple counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Zulery M. Jimenez-Fuentes was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child. All three locations were condemned by the Jamestown Department of Development.

The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, FBI and ICE.
