Woman Nabbed After Being Found With Meth, Fentanyl

MAYVILLE — A traffic stop on Tuesday led to a seizure of narcotics and the arrest of an Angola woman. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Narcotics Investigator observed Savannah Dorsey-Carter, 26, who is known to have a suspended license, operating a vehicle on Route 394 in the town of Chautauqua. The vehicle was then observed in the Dollar General parking lot and Dorsey-Carter was placed in custody after exiting the store.

A search of the vehicle and Dorsey-Carter’s person led the seizure of 47.1 grams of methamphetamine, 8.5 grams of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia used for the sale and distribution of narcotics.

Dorsey-Carter was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Dorsey-Carter also received traffic tickets for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, no insurance, uninspected vehicle, unregistered vehicle and improper plates. Dorsey-Carter was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for the centralized arraignment program.
